Curriculum

“Within the child lies the fate of the future.”

(Maria Montessori)

Grace Park Montessori Pre-School provides a comprehensive curriculum based upon the Montessori method of education combined with the principles of Aistear, the Early Childhood Curriculum Framework, and adhering to each of the standards as set out in Siolta, the National Quality Framework for Early Years Education.

Maria Montessori designed her teaching apparatus and prepared environment so that each individual child has the maximum ability for learning and exploration. Our classroom has carefully been designed so that each child has freedom of movement in a safe and stimulating environment where they can develop their character and personality through their experiences.

At Grace Park Montessori Pre-School we promote your child’s independence, confidence, self-esteem. And nurture their sense of wonder and awe. Our curriculum is based upon a holistic and inclusive model of child development where all aspects of the child’s social, physical, intellectual, emotional and psychological developments are fostered.

The staff of Grace Park Montessori Pre-School are passionate about the early years education of all children and the Montessori method. Each year staff attend training workshops and seminars covering a broad range of early years care and education elements in order to maintain a high level of knowledge and practice within the field.

By combining the educational philosophies of Maria Montessori with the curriculum framework of Aistear, we can aid each individual child to learn and grow to their full potential.

Aistear Curriculum
